Victorian Child Spoon Carved Rocker - Avail Now

We found this unique antique victorian child rocker in up state NY.  It is a true beauty of the past.  We just couldn't resist buying it.  It is a Victorian childs rocking chair about 26' inches tall to the top of the back and 18" wide in the seat area.  It has a beautiful spoon carved design on it as well as a nice design at the top of the back.  The fabric is a gold color with a ribbon and flower design.  We haven't even touched this one...it is in its original state.  It is in great condition!

How adorable would this be in your new baby's room or even used as a prop for taking pictures??  This little chair has a history and needs someone to keep passing it down to their children.  Let me know if you would like to see more pictures or are interested.

Vintage 1920's Drop Leaf Table Gone "Colorful" - Sold!

We found this beauty in South Amboy, New Jersey!  We came for a beautiful vanity (soon to be finished) and found this unique 1920's vintage drop leaf dining table as well.  Check out her beautiful legs.  You don't find these tables anymore!  We decided we wanted to dress her up a bit and bring her back to life.

We painted her legs a chalky turquoise color and then slightly distressed them.  The top of the table is painted in a black and antique white.  We decided to keep the edge or border of the table her original color. What do you think?

She would be fantastic in a hallway, kitchen, or even used as a side table.  She can open up to a full size round table or her sides can be dropped to a half table (hence the name "drop leaf" :))

She needs a great home or maybe we will keep her ourselves.... let me know if you are interested!!!

Adorable "Old School" Phone Table-SOLD

We found this phone bench on Craigs List and decided to spruce it up a bit.  Because we always have our kids in the back of our mind, we thought this would be a great little piece to have in your child's room or play room!  We thought how cute would this be to place it by the side of their bed for you to sit and read stories to them at night.  (The Dr. does say, not to lie in bed with them while you read...Lol!)

We took a plain bench and painted it aqua blue and then painted over the aqua blue with an apple green.  We then distressed it a bit so the blue could peep through.  We then made a cushion for the bench in a children's black and white giraffe material and then decided to do a different piece of fabric (black and white Chevron) on the other side.  This now makes the table versatile...you could use it your room, hallway, or any nook and cranny it could fit in.  We also decided to change out the knob to a crystal clear one...just to add a little flare.  What do you think?  Once again...forgot the before pic.

Shabby Chic Coffee Table

So this was our FIRST project together.  We found this great plain brown wood coffee table and decided to make into a work of art.  We completely stripped the finish off the top (boy that took some time) and re-stained it a dark walnut color.  We then took the legs off and painted the base a bright glossy turquoise color, distressed it, and then put a stain over it.

This piece of furniture is very special to us because this was our first project and boy it took us some time to get it perfect.  I hope you like it!  We are new to blogging so we forgot to put the before picture.  :(  NEXT TIME!!!
